Week 2 of the NFL season wraps up tonight with the New York Giants traveling west to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

These teams enter Monday night in very different spots. New York opened its season with an impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys while Los Angeles will look to bounce back after a disappointing Week 1 showing against the San Francisco 49ers. That sets the stage for an intriguing matchup between Jaxson Dart and Matthew Stafford at SoFi Stadium.

Rams vs Giants Player Props, Picks for Monday Night Football

Jaxson Dart Over 31.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

Jaxson Dart has been an elite rushing QB so far in his brief career, and I think Monday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams sets up well for him to have a big game on the ground.

Dart has averaged 36.1 rushing yards per game in his career. In the season opener a week ago, he ran for 54 yards on 11 attempts. He’s now run for at least 32 yards in seven of his last eight contests, averaging 43.3 rushing yards per game in that span.

The New York Giants are 7.5-point road underdogs for MNF. That could mean a negative game script and a pass-heavy second half for Big Blue, something that could lead to more scrambling for Dart.

Dart to go over 31.5 rushing yards is my favorite MNF player prop.

Rams -3.5 First Half Spread (-120)

There are a few reasons I’m into the Rams to start fast tonight.

First, LA is just better than the Giants.

Secondly, the Rams are likely super motivated to bounce back following their Week 1 loss. After an offseason of the Rams being hyped up as the clear Super Bowl favorite, LA laid an egg against the 49ers. This is their first chance to right the ship.

Lastly, the Rams have a rest advantage. LA played on Thursday night in Week 1 while the Giants played on Sunday night. While some of that advantage is mitigated by the Rams having to travel back from Australia, I still think the rest advantage lies with the Rams for tonight.

All in all, I think the Rams start fast tonight, and I also like LA to win the first quarter (-188).

Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown (-125)

Davante Adams was a touchdown machine last year, scoring 14 times. I like these odds on him to touch paint tonight.

Much like the Rams as a whole, Adams is looking to rebound after a quiet opener in which he made only three catches for 26 yards. I can see the Rams scheming to get Adams involved, and even in the down game versus San Fran, he still handled six targets.

Adams was a huge part of the Rams’ goal-line playbook last season, logging an NFL-best 23 targets inside the 10. Of his 14 TDs for the year, 11 of them came on targets from inside the 10 as LA featured him heavily near the goal-line.

With the Rams listed at -106 odds to go over 27.5 points, LA should have a few red-zone opportunities today. That bodes well for Adams’ scoring chances, and I’m intrigued by these odds.
