FanDuel NFL DFS: Best Optimized Lineup for 49ers vs Rams Today in Australia

FanDuel DFS Lineup in Summary

  • MVP: Christian McCaffrey (SF)
  • FLEX: Puka Nacua (LAR), Matthew Stafford (LAR), Kyren Williams (LAR), Tyler Higbee (LAR), Jacob Cowing (SF)
  • Total salary used: $58,300 of $60,000

The 49ers and Rams open the season Thursday night in Australia, and FanDuel's Single Game contest for the matchup gives you one MVP slot at 1.5x salary and points, plus five FLEX spots, all under a $60,000 cap. Here's the build.

MVP: Christian McCaffrey (SF) — $13,000

McCaffrey is the highest-salaried player in the entire pool, and the betting market backs that up directly — he's priced as the shortest anytime touchdown in the whole game and is favored to lead the outright rushing yards battle over Kyren Williams. That's a genuine floor-and-ceiling combination worth the 1.5x tax at MVP.

FLEX: Puka Nacua (LAR) — $12,400

Nacua is priced at an almost unthinkable -10000 just to record a single 10-yard catch, and he's the favorite to lead the entire game in receiving yards. At the second-highest salary in the pool, he's expensive, but the signal behind him is about as strong as this board offers.

FLEX: Matthew Stafford (LAR) — $11,400

Stafford is favored to outright lead the game in passing yards over Brock Purdy, and with Nacua drawing this much volume on the other end of his throws, the correlation here is real rather than just a name-brand pick.

FLEX: Kyren Williams (LAR) — $10,200

Williams is tied for the second-shortest anytime touchdown price on the entire board. That's a genuine signal about workload for the Rams' backfield, not just a name people recognize.

FLEX: Tyler Higbee (LAR) — $3,800

A cheap, real path to red-zone production at tight end. He won't put up big yardage totals, but touchdown equity at this salary is exactly the value a Single Game build needs once the top of the roster is locked in.

FLEX: Jacob Cowing (SF) — $1,000

Cowing is expected to work primarily as San Francisco's punt returner tonight, which gives him a real, specific path to fantasy production — a long return for a touchdown can add real points — at a salary that costs almost nothing against the cap.

The Bottom Line

This lineup leans on the two clearest game-leading favorites on the entire board — McCaffrey for touchdowns and rushing yards, Nacua for receiving yards — paired with his own quarterback in a real Stafford-Nacua correlation, then fills out the cap with a cheap red-zone tight end and a minimum-salary punt returner. It leaves $1,700 of unused salary, since nothing else on the board offered a signal strong enough to justify reaching for it.
