Rays vs. Brewers Prediction Today: MLB Picks and Props for World Series Game 2

Rays-Brewers World Series Game 2 Picks in Summary
- Rays Moneyline (+102)
- Logan Henderson Over 14.5 Pitching Outs (-140)
The Milwaukee Brewers grabbed an early advantage in the 2026 World Series with a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in Friday's opener, but the Rays will have an opportunity to answer immediately in Game 2.
Saturday's pitching matchup features Drew Rasmussen for Tampa Bay against Logan Henderson for Milwaukee, giving us another matchup in which runs could be difficult to come by. Rasmussen has been outstanding throughout October while Henderson put together an excellent rookie season for the Brewers.
With Milwaukee trying to take a commanding 2-0 series lead before the Fall Classic shifts to Tampa Bay, let's break down two of the best bets for World Series Game 2.

World Series Game 2 MLB Prediction, Picks: Rays vs. Brewers
Tampa Bay Rays Moneyline (+102)
Moneyline
The Milwaukee Brewers have home-field advantage and took Game 1, but getting the Tampa Bay Rays at plus money with Drew Rasmussen on the mound is difficult to pass up.
Rasmussen has been one of baseball's best pitchers for months. He finished the regular season 16-5 with a 2.67 ERA and 0.91 WHIP across 172 innings, recording 174 strikeouts. His dominance has carried directly into October. Through three postseason starts, Rasmussen owns a 1.29 ERA and 0.76 WHIP with 23 strikeouts across 21 innings.
He has also delivered length in every playoff outing. Rasmussen opened his postseason by throwing eight scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts against the Yankees. He followed that with six innings of two-run ball against Cleveland before holding the Guardians to one run over seven innings in his latest outing. In total, he has completed at least six innings in all three postseason starts.
Zooming out even further, Tampa Bay has won 14 of Rasmussen's 15 starts since the All-Star break. Over that stretch, he is 11-0 with a 1.73 ERA, 99 strikeouts, and only 18 walks in 93 2/3 innings.
Milwaukee counters with Logan Henderson, who had an excellent regular season of his own, going 11-3 with a 2.47 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. But he hasn't been quite as dominant this postseason, allowing three earned runs over nine innings through his first two starts. He lasted only four innings in his NLCS appearance against the Dodgers.
The Rays also showed in Game 1 that they can hang around against the Brewers’ ace, turning an early 2-0 deficit into a one-run game before ultimately losing 3-2. With Rasmussen providing Tampa Bay a significant chance of controlling the first six or seven innings, I like the Rays to even the series.
Logan Henderson Over 14.5 Pitching Outs (-140)
Logan Henderson Outs Recorded
While I prefer Tampa Bay to win the game, Henderson can still put Milwaukee in a good position before handing things over to its bullpen.
Henderson's 14.5-out prop requires him to complete five innings, something he routinely did during the regular season. He logged at least 15 outs in eight of his final 10 regular-season starts, including outings of 19, 21, 18, and 21 outs during that stretch.
His overall numbers offer plenty of support for Milwaukee allowing him to work relatively deep into Game 2. Henderson posted a 2.47 ERA and struck out 110 batters over 98 1/3 regular-season innings. He was especially good at American Family Field, where he went 6-0 with a 1.84 ERA and 0.77 WHIP over eight starts while holding opposing hitters to a .169 batting average.
Tampa Bay's offense also isn't entering this game in particularly explosive form. The Rays scored only twice in Game 1, and Henderson's ability to limit traffic should give him a chance to work efficiently enough to reach the fifth inning.
His postseason usage provides the primary concern. Henderson went exactly five innings against San Diego in his first playoff start before Milwaukee pulled him after four innings against Los Angeles. Still, the circumstances were different in the latter outing, when defensive mistakes contributed to four runs -- only two earned -- against him.
With the Brewers likely wanting length after using their top relievers to protect Friday's one-run lead, Henderson has a realistic path to completing five frames. At a 14.5-out line, we don't need a quality start; we simply need him to record the first out of the fifth and finish the inning.
MLB Betting Frequently Asked Questions
What are MLB player prop bets?
MLB player prop bets are wagers on specific statistical outcomes tied to individual players during a game — not on which team wins or loses. You might bet on how many strikeouts a starting pitcher records, whether a shortstop gets a hit, or how many total bases an outfielder accumulates.
Because they are isolated to a single player's performance, props let you apply focused knowledge about matchups, recent form, and ballpark conditions rather than predicting the full game result.
What types of MLB player props are available?
FanDuel offers a wide menu of MLB props. The most common categories include:
- Pitcher strikeouts
- Batter hits
- Home runs
- Total bases
- RBIs
- Stolen bases
- Pitcher outs recorded
How do MLB player prop bet odds work?
MLB prop odds use the standard American (moneyline) format. A negative number shows how much you must wager to profit $100. A positive number shows how much a $100 bet returns in profit.
- -110 odds — bet $110 to win $100
- +130 odds — bet $100 to win $130
- -200 odds — bet $200 to win $100
What does "total bases" mean as a prop bet?
The total bases prop counts the bases a batter earns from hits in a single game:
- Single = 1 base
- Double = 2 bases
- Triple = 3 bases
- Home run = 4 bases
Walks, hit-by-pitches, and stolen bases do not count. A typical total bases line is set at 1.5 or 2.5. Betting over 1.5 means you need at least a double, or two singles.
