Gonzaga vs Purdue Picks and Predictions

In my eyes, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are the play to cover the spread against the Purdue Boilermakers.

Gonzaga has the more experienced-looking roster for this matchup and should have enough size and athleticism to create problems for Purdue on both ends of the floor.

Purdue's final exhibition was a major red flag. The Boilermakers were beaten 76-53 by UConn, shooting just 32.8% from the field and going 2-for-25 from 3-point range. UConn also controlled the game at the defensive end, forcing Purdue into 18 turnovers and pulling away for a 23-point victory.

That performance makes me particularly interested in Gonzaga at -5.5. The Bulldogs should be able to put pressure on Purdue's new-look roster, and Gonzaga's combination of size and offensive talent gives it a path to build a lead and pull away.
