It might be a maiden, but this looks the race of the day. OCEANELLA (11) got into the placings in town on debut and was then third again when stepping up to 7f last time out. Back ½f in distance here and the big edge he could have over a couple of keys rivals is a low draw given his on-pace racing style. BOLD STRIKE (1) is also drawn low, but will get back if the debut is anything to go by, when he got a long way out of his ground before smashing the line late. CHAMPAGNE EXPRESS (6) looks the other major player after a super debut third at Sandown but she does have the wide draw to overcome. SIMPLY OUTRAGEOUS (13) was a recent Ballarat jumpout winner.
