SORRENTI (3) was gelded over the break after showing ability in his first campaign. Wasn't pushed out in the two trials and expected to shed his Maiden status quickly this time in. I AM STEFFI (7) made an excellent return when she pushed forward from a wide draw to fail narrowly when second over 5f at this track in a Super Maiden. Gets the claim again and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. DON'T DOUBT SOPHIE (5) her two career starts have been full of merit and looking for this trip now. Strong through the line when third over 4 ¼f at Gatton. Maps well and stays in the calculations. Worth including. WINNING HARLOW (11) savaged the line on debut from the inside gate with an encouraging fourth over 5 ½f at Ipswich three weeks ago. Has further improvement to come but has to contend with an awkward gate. Place best.
