4 Best Ball Stacks to Target in Fantasy Football for 2024

Best ball is a form of fantasy football that has been growing rapidly in recent years. In best ball leagues, the players with the most points at each position are automatically inserted into your lineup, preventing fans from having to set their lineup each week.
One strategy that has become popular in the best ball realm is stacking. Stacking is when you select a quarterback and pair them with one of their pass catchers to maximize correlation in your lineup.
Ahead of the upcoming NFL season, there are an endless number of stacks you can target in drafts. While using FanDuel's best ball average draft position (ADP), let's look at four stacks to target in best ball drafts in 2024.
Fantasy Football Stacks to Target for 2024
Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow, ADP: 110.8 (QB10)
Ja'Marr Chase, ADP: 6.6 (WR4)
Tee Higgins, ADP: 166.8 (WR32)
Two separate injuries for Joe Burrow derailed the 2023-24 campaign for the Cincinnati Bengals. Burrow is recovering from a season-ending wrist ailment, but the former No. 1 pick has added weight this offseason in an attempt to improve his chances of staying healthy.
While Burrow averaged only 15.31 FanDuel points per game a season ago, he produced 21-plus FanDuel points in four of his last six contests. With Burrow fully healthy entering training camp, Ja'Marr Chase is back in the WR1 mix for fantasy football.
Even with Jake Browning making spot starts for Burrow down the stretch last season, Chase still managed to lead the Bengals in target share (26.3%) and yards per route run (2.13), per NextGenStats. After hauling in a career-low seven touchdowns last year, numberFire's fantasy football projections forecast Chase recording the NFL's most receiving touchdowns (11.3) in 2024-25.
Tee Higgins is officially going to play on the franchise tag this season, likely giving the Bengals one last chance to win a Super Bowl with this current group. Despite missing five games in 2023-24, Higgins still led Cincinnati in air yards share (37.7%), and he could return to being a 1,000-yard receiver with Tyler Boyd no longer in the mix.
Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray, ADP: 91 (QB9)
Marvin Harrison Jr., ADP: 22 (WR9)
Trey McBride, ADP: 42.6 (TE5)
Entering the upcoming season, Kyler Murray will arguably have the best supporting cast of his career. Aside from Trey McBride being a full-time starter in Week 1 for the first time, the Arizona Cardinals took Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 pick in this year's draft.
Murray is a dual-threat quarterback who is now over a full year removed from a torn ACL he suffered in 2022. While Murray was limited to eight starts in 2023-24, he still tallied a formidable 18.92 FanDuel points per game, and he should see an uptick in rushing usage this season.
Speaking of Harrison, the rookie wideout registered the fourth-most yards per route run (3.44) among receivers with 100-plus targets in college football last season, per PFF. There's no reason to believe Harrison can't be the next first-year wideout who becomes an immediate stud in fantasy football.
McBride didn't officially become the top tight end for the Cardinals until Week 8 of last season, but once he consistently saw the field, the floodgates were opened. Across the last 10 games of the 2023-24 campaign, McBride led Arizona's offense with an elite 26.7% target share and 2.23 yards per route run, which led to 15-plus FanDuel points in four games during that span.
Miami Dolphins
Tua Tagovailoa, ADP: 165.9 (QB13)
Tyreek Hill, ADP: 3.3 (WR2)
Jaylen Waddle, ADP: 54.3 (WR19)
Although there are always going to be ongoing discussions on whether or not Tua Tagovailoa is a good real-life quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, he's entrenched as an enticing signal-caller in fantasy football due to playing in a Mike McDaniel offense. To Tua's credit, he logged career-best marks in completion percentage (69.3%), passing yards (4,624), and passing touchdowns (29) last season.
Even though Tagovailoa doesn't possess any rushing upside, he still finished with the 10th-most FanDuel points among quarterbacks in 2023-24. Being attached to McDaniel, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle gives Tagovailoa a legitimate chance to be a top-10 performer at the quarterback position.
Of the non-quarterbacks, Hill recorded the third-most FanDuel points in the NFL a season ago. Having an elite 32.7% target share, 44.3% air yards share, and 3.98 yards per route run last season makes Hill an easy choice for one of the top selections in drafts.
Along with Hill, Waddle figures to remain a focal point of Miami's lethal aerial attack after notching a 22.7% target share and 2.76 yards per route run throughout 14 games in 2023-24. Considering that Hill and Waddle combined for a target share north of 50% last year, Tagovailoa is a simple quarterback to stack with.
Atlanta Falcons
Kirk Cousins, ADP: 199.8 (QB19)
Drake London, ADP: 39.5 (WR14)
Kyle Pitts, ADP: 74.6 (TE8)
Among the notable moves that occurred this offseason, Kirk Cousins signing with the Atlanta Falcons is one that shook the fantasy football world. Cousins -- who is recovering from a season-ending torn Achilles -- has long been expected to be a full-go when training camp begins for the Falcons.
The experienced signal-caller was playing some of the best football of his career before being sidelined, posting a fantastic 4.6% completion percentage over expected and 291.4 passing yards per game. Of the quarterbacks who made multiple starts in 2023-24, Cousins scored the seventh-most FanDuel points per game (19.34) a season ago.
Even with Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke starting under center for Atlanta last season, Drake London still earned team-best marks in target share (23.2%), air yards share (32.5%), and yards per route run (1.98). numberFire's models predict London to conclude this season with the 10th-most receptions (98), 9th-most receiving yards (1,232), and 9th-most receiving touchdowns (8.3) at the receiver position.
While it was a positive sign to see Kyle Pitts play in all 17 games for the Falcons last season, he still tallied only 6.51 FanDuel points per game. Despite the disappointing production thus far, the fact Pitts is healthier entering training camp and has an upgrade at quarterback is enough for me to believe he's in store for the best year of his career.
