World Series Prop Bets: Rangers at Diamondbacks, Game 3

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.
Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

MLB Prop Bets to Target
Corbin Carroll To Record 2+ Bases (+100)
The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to take a lead in the World Series as they host the Texas Rangers for Game 3 of the Fall Classic.
Max Scherzer is on the bump for Texas, and while I do think he could be primed to deliver a longer and more in-control outing than his two previous postseason starts, Scherzer has been vulnerable since his return from a shoulder injury and has also been dealing with a cut on his pitching thumb.
Given Scherzer's blow-up potential, I'd look to target someone who has a strong ability to exploit this matchup -- such as Corbin Carroll.
Carroll had great numbers against righties this season, including a .286 batting average, .389 wOBA, .552 SLG, and 146 wRC+.
He's currently on a five-game hitting streak and has recorded at least two bases in his last three games. It also doesn't hurt that he bats leadoff (sometimes second in the batting order) -- he's guaranteed to see chances against Scherzer and could get an extra plate appearance than other players in the lineup.
Adolis Garcia To Record An RBI (+115)
Despite setting the MLB postseason record for most RBIs (22) and going yard in five straight games prior to the Rangers' Game 2 loss, Adolis Garcia enters Game 3 with plus odds to record an RBI, so I'm targeting this prop accordingly.
Garcia has recorded an RBI in 10 out of 14 postseason games thus far -- 71.4% of the time. Not only is the trend strong, but so is the matchup.
The Rangers will be facing Brandon Pfaadt, and though Pfaadt has been great in the playoffs (16.2 IP, 5 ER, 2 HR, 22 Ks), he still has room for mistakes -- regular season numbers include a 5.72 ERA, 2.06 HR/9, .278 opponent batting average -- especially against batters who can take advantage of this right-handed matchup.
Garcia is preceded in the lineup by Marcus Semien (.357 wOBA, 126 wRC+ versus righties this season), Corey Seager (.333 average, .439 wOBA, 183 wRC+ versus righties), and Evan Carter (.365 average, .769 SLG, 225 wRC+ in 52 at-bats versus righties) -- it seems no one is better set up to walk to the plate tonight with runners in scoring position than Garcia is.
He finished the regular season with 106 RBIs (sixth in MLB), so even without the record-breaking playoff numbers, Garcia is a solid RBI candidate -- but his .339 average and .763 SLG in the playoffs, along with the potential for Garcia to hit with runners in scoring position, offers even more encouragement for this prop.
Evan Carter To Record A Run (+100)
I'd look to target Garcia to record an RBI in tandem with Evan Carter to record a run.
Carter has been great all playoffs, posting a .313 average and .542 SLG. He's also hit eight doubles (leads all players this postseason) and has touched home plate nine times (third-most on Rangers, behind Garcia and Seager).
As mentioned, Carter has a small-but-lethal regular-season sample against righties, which includes a .365 average, .769 SLG, and 225 wRC+ -- this earned him the third spot in the Texas batting order and the luxury of having Garcia follow him in the lineup.
Though I also like Seager's chances to score a run, his odds to do so stand at -130, and numberFire's projections show that Carter has a higher run likelihood (0.75) than Seager (0.61), so I find more value in Carter's plus odds.
