The 2026-27 NBA season is under way as the Celtics and Pistons game tipped at 3 p.m. ET. Opening Day has two more games for us.
The defending champion New York Knicks host the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m, and then Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder for a Western Conference Finals rematch at 9:30 p.m.
Let's sift through Tuesday's NBA odds at FanDuel Sportsbook and highlight one NBA player prop from each of the two night games.

NBA Prop Bets Tonight: Best NBA Player Props
Jalen Brunson Over 6.5 Assists (-118)
76ers at Knicks, 7 p.m. ET
Jalen Brunson - Assists
Jalen Brunson is best known for his scoring, but his playmaking makes the over on 6.5 assists an intriguing way to attack today’s Philadelphia 76ers-New York Knicks clash.
Brunson averaged exactly 6.8 assists per game last season while playing 35.0 minutes per contest. That represented a significant chunk of the Knicks' offensive creation, and his 503 total assists came alongside a relatively modest 2.4 turnovers per game.
New York has plenty of players capable of converting the looks Brunson creates. Karl-Anthony Towns can score both inside and outside, while Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby give Brunson multiple catch-and-shoot options when defenses load up on his drives.
Brunson's own scoring ability also forces opponents to send extra attention his way, which should create assist chances.
With Philadelphia having to account for Brunson every time he turns the corner in pick-and-roll, I like his chances of finding enough open teammates to surpass this line.
Devin Vassell 3+ Made Threes (+142)
Thunder at Spurs, 9:30 p.m. ET
Devin Vassell to knock down at least three triples is my favorite plus-money prop on Tuesday's slate.
Vassell averaged 2.5 made threes on 6.4 attempts per game last season while connecting at a strong 38.4% clip from beyond the arc. He finished with 166 made threes across 67 games.
There is also precedent for Vassell getting plenty of perimeter opportunities in this matchup. He attempted at least five threes in each of his four regular-season meetings with the Oklahoma City Thunder last year, including games with eight and nine attempts. Vassell made three triples in one of those meetings and four in another.
In the postseason, Vassell hoisted at least six three-point tries in six of seven games versus OKC, including outings of 9, 12 and 9 three-point tries.
OKC's defense is obviously a difficult draw. But Luguentz Dort is gone, and the Thunder have ranked in the top six in highest three-point attempt rate allowed in each of the last three seasons, highlighting a defensive system that prefers to lock down the paint at the cost of giving up some three-point looks.
With Vassell coming off a season in which nearly 57% of his field-goal attempts came from three-point range, the volume gives us a realistic path to three makes.

NBA Player Prop Bets FAQ
What are NBA player prop bets?
NBA player prop bets are wagers on specific statistical outcomes for individual players during a game — independent of which team wins or loses. You might bet on how many points a star guard scores, whether a big man grabs 10 or more rebounds, or how many assists a point guard dishes out.
What types of NBA player props are available?
FanDuel offers an extensive menu of NBA props. The most common categories include:
- Points — over/under on a player's scoring total
- Rebounds — over/under on total boards (offensive + defensive)
- Assists — over/under on dimes dished
- Three-pointers made — over/under on made threes
- Points + rebounds + assists (PRA) — combined stat total for those three stats
- Double-double or triple-double — yes/no prop on achieving the milestone
How do NBA player prop odds work?
NBA props use the standard American (moneyline) odds format. A negative number indicates how much you must wager to profit $100, while a positive number shows the profit on a $100 bet.
- -115 odds — bet $115 to win $100
- +115 odds — bet $100 to win $115
- -200 odds — bet $200 to win $100
What is a points prop bet in the NBA?
A points prop is a bet on whether a specific player will score over or under a set total. For example, a line might read: LeBron James — Points — Over 24.5 (-110).
Key factors to research before betting points props include the player's recent scoring form, the opposing team's defensive rating and points allowed to their position, pace of play, and how many minutes the player is likely to play.
What is a PRA prop bet for NBA?
PRA stands for Points + Rebounds + Assists — a combined stat prop that totals all three categories into one number. For example, a Nikola Jokic PRA line might be set at 49.5.
PRA props are popular for versatile players because their contributions span multiple statistical categories. They're less volatile than single-stat props since a slow scoring night can be offset by a strong rebounding or passing game.
