World Cup Best Bets Today: Ecuador vs. Ivory Coast
Under 2.5 Goals (-225)
This is my favorite way to bet this game.
Ecuador may be the most defensive-minded team in South America. They conceded just five goals in 18 World Cup qualifiers and recorded 13 clean sheets during qualifying.
Ivory Coast is similarly well organized under Emerse Faé and did not concede a goal during its World Cup qualifying campaign.
A lot of signs points toward a cagey, low-scoring affair where one moment of quality could decide the result.
Draw (+175)
These teams are fairly well matched.
Ecuador possesses the stronger defensive spine led by Moisés Caicedo, Willian Pacho, and Piero Hincapié, while Ivory Coast counters with the athleticism and creativity of Franck Kessié, Amad Diallo, and Simon Adingra.
Both nations will understand the importance of avoiding defeat in their opener, and a 0-0 or 1-1 result would leave each side in a decent position heading into the remainder of the group stage.
I think that's the kind of scoreline we'll get today.

World Cup FAQ
What are three-way odds in soccer?
Unlike traditional moneyline betting in American sports, soccer uses three-way odds. You're betting on one of three outcomes: Home Team win, Away Team Win or a Draw. This is the fundamental difference from NFL or NBA lines. The draw exists because soccer matches can end in ties. Three-way odds account for this possibility.
When does the US play in the 2026 World Cup?
