Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

Jahmyr Gibbs remains one of the premier fantasy backs after rushing for 1,223 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 5.0 yards per carry in 2025. His explosiveness and receiving ability give the Detroit Lions star one of the highest weekly ceilings at the position.

Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

Christian McCaffrey showed he can still handle an enormous workload in 2025, recording 311 carries for 1,202 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. His involvement as a receiver remains particularly valuable in PPR formats, keeping the San Francisco 49ers’ back firmly in the RB1 discussion.

James Cook III, Buffalo Bills

James Cook III is coming off a monster 2025 campaign in which he led the NFL with 1,621 rushing yards. Cook averaged 5.2 yards per attempt and scored 12 times on the ground, giving the Buffalo Bills a highly efficient centerpiece in their backfield.

De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

Few running backs can match De'Von Achane on a per-touch basis. The Miami Dolphins’ speedster rushed for 1,350 yards on only 238 attempts in 2025, good for an outstanding 5.7 yards per carry, and his receiving involvement further boosts his PPR ceiling.

Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

Chase Brown has established himself as a dependable all-around option for the Cincinnati Bengals. Brown eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in 2025, finishing with 1,019 yards and 6 touchdowns while averaging 4.4 yards per carry.

Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders

Ashton Jeanty didn't immediately dominate as a rookie, but the workload was extremely encouraging. He handled 266 carries across 17 games for the Las Vegas Raiders, and that kind of volume gives him significant breakout potential if his efficiency improves upon last year's 3.7 yards per attempt.

Kenneth Walker III, Kansas City Chiefs

The move to the Kansas City Chiefs gives Kenneth Walker III an intriguing fantasy ceiling. Walker rushed for 1,027 yards on 221 attempts last regular season and then averaged 104.3 rushing yards across three playoff games, including a four-touchdown postseason.

Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

Saquon Barkley wasn't quite as dominant in 2025 as he was the previous season, but he still delivered 1,140 rushing yards and 7 scores in 16 games. The Philadelphia Eagles should continue giving Barkley enough volume and scoring opportunities to warrant an early fantasy selection.

Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens

Age hasn't stopped Derrick Henry from producing elite rushing numbers. Henry piled up 1,595 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns for the Baltimore Ravens in 2025 while averaging 5.2 yards per carry, keeping his touchdown-driven fantasy ceiling exceptionally high.

Breece Hall, New York Jets

Breece Hall topped 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in 2025, accumulating 1,065 yards on 243 attempts. Hall scored only four rushing touchdowns, so there could be room for a sizable fantasy jump if the New York Jets can provide him with more scoring opportunities.

Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

Kyren Williams continued to churn out fantasy production in 2025, rushing 259 times for 1,252 yards and 10 touchdowns. Blake Corum gives the Los Angeles Rams another talented option, but Williams' combination of efficiency and scoring production keeps him firmly in the starting fantasy conversation.

Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys

Javonte Williams revitalized his fantasy value with the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. Williams produced 1,201 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 252 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per attempt while handling a significant role in the Dallas offense.

Travis Etienne Jr., New Orleans Saints

Travis Etienne Jr. heads into 2026 with the New Orleans Saints after rebounding for 1,107 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns last season. Etienne's ability to contribute on passing downs should give him a path to PPR relevance even if New Orleans spreads carries around.

D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears

D'Andre Swift was quietly efficient in 2025, turning 223 carries into 1,087 yards and 9 touchdowns. That works out to 4.9 yards per attempt, and his versatility should continue to give the Chicago Bears multiple ways to get him involved.

David Montgomery, Houston Texans

David Montgomery enters a new situation with the Houston Texans, making his workload one of the more interesting backfield situations to monitor. Montgomery has consistently offered value around the goal line, and a meaningful share of Houston's high-value rushing opportunities could make him a useful fantasy starter.

Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers

Jaylen Warren continues to carry extra appeal in PPR leagues because of what he can provide as a receiver. If the Pittsburgh Steelers give him consistent early-down work in addition to his passing-game role, Warren has a realistic path to outperforming his draft-day price.

Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans

Tony Pollard recorded another 1,000-yard rushing campaign in 2025, finishing with 1,082 yards on 242 carries for the Tennessee Titans. The biggest limitation was touchdown production, as Pollard scored only five times on the ground despite handling a substantial workload.

Rachaad White, Washington Commanders

Rachaad White is an intriguing change-of-scenery option with the Washington Commanders. His history as a capable pass-catching back makes him particularly interesting for PPR leagues, although his ultimate ceiling will depend on how Washington divides its backfield opportunities.

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams

Blake Corum is one of the more appealing backs to target deeper in drafts. He remains behind Kyren Williams in the Los Angeles Rams backfield, but Corum's 2025 postseason provided another glimpse of his ability as he averaged 4.6 yards per attempt on 26 playoff carries. He’s one of the best fantasy football handcuffs for 2026.
