Superflex leagues change fantasy football draft strategy in a major way.
With the ability to start a second quarterback in the flex spot, the position becomes much more valuable than it is in traditional one-quarterback formats. Quarterbacks fly off the board early, depth at the position matters more, and managers have to balance securing multiple starters with building enough strength at running back and wide receiver.
To help with that process, here are our 2026 fantasy football superflex rankings.

Notes
Josh Allen, QB, Bills — Josh Allen is the type of quarterback worth paying a premium for in superflex because his rushing production gives him an enormous weekly ceiling. With the Buffalo Bills adding D.J. Moore to an already solid group of pass-catchers, Allen has a strong case to be the first player off the board.
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Lions — Jahmyr Gibbs is talented enough to break up the early quarterback run in superflex drafts. His receiving ability gives him elite PPR upside, and he's one of the few non-quarterbacks who can realistically contend for the No. 1 overall fantasy spot.
Drake Maye, QB, Patriots — Drake Maye has quickly moved into the elite fantasy quarterback tier. His combination of passing upside and rushing production gives him both a strong weekly floor and a path to finishing as the overall QB1.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seahawks — Jaxon Smith-Njigba has developed into the centerpiece of the Seattle Seahawks‘ passing game and belongs among the first non-quarterbacks drafted. His combination of target volume and weekly ceiling gives him legitimate overall WR1 upside.
Brock Bowers, TE, Raiders — Brock Bowers is worth an aggressive ranking because he offers a potential advantage at a position where very few players can match his receiving production. He's already established himself as the centerpiece of the Las Vegas Raiders' passing attack.
Omarion Hampton, RB, Chargers — Omarion Hampton flashed significant upside as a rookie, rushing for 545 yards and catching 32 passes for 192 yards in only nine games. If he stays healthy, his three-down ability gives him a clear path toward a major second-year jump.
Nico Collins, WR, Texans — Nico Collins remains the Houston Texans‘ clear No. 1 receiver and provides an appealing combination of volume and big-play ability. He's an excellent WR1 target for managers who attack quarterback early.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs — Patrick Mahomes falling this far illustrates just how deep quarterback has become. He remains one of the safest bets for substantial passing volume, making him especially attractive if your draft room allows him to slide. His 2025 knee injury may lessen his rushing output.
Malik Nabers, WR, Giants — Malik Nabers has already shown that he can command elite target volume when healthy. If the New York Giants‘ passing attack takes a step forward in Jaxson Dart‘s second season, Nabers has the talent to significantly outperform this ranking.
Jared Goff, QB, Lions — Jared Goff does not offer the rushing upside of the quarterbacks near the top of the rankings, but the Detroit Lions‘ explosive offense gives him a reliable passing ceiling. He's the type of QB2 who can provide stable weekly production without requiring an early-round investment.
Garrett Wilson, WR, Jets — Garrett Wilson was limited to seven games last season but still commanded 59 targets, an average of 8.43 per contest. If he stays healthy and maintains that kind of volume with Geno Smith at quarterback, he has a legitimate chance to smash this ranking.
Luther Burden III, WR, Bears — Luther Burden III quietly finished his rookie season with 47 catches for 652 yards despite starting only five games. A larger role in Year 2 could make Burden one of the better mid-round receiver values.
Sam Darnold, QB, Seahawks — Sam Darnold becomes significantly more valuable in superflex simply because dependable starting quarterbacks disappear quickly. He's better suited as a QB2 than a player to build around, but his starting role and supporting cast give him a useful weekly ceiling.
Malik Willis, QB, Dolphins — Malik Willis is one of my favorite late quarterback targets because his rushing ability can create fantasy production even when the passing numbers aren't spectacular. If he holds the Miami Dolphins‘ starting job, his legs give him much more upside than the typical quarterback available in this range.
George Kittle, TE, 49ers — George Kittle can outdo this ranking if he’s able to be the usual Kittle early in the season. He can still provide difference-making production at tight end, making him an excellent value if you want to wait at TE.
Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers — Chris Godwin is one of the most interesting late-round values on the list after injuries derailed his 2025 season. He has a long track record of high-volume production, and a healthy Godwin has the potential to dramatically outperform this ranking.

Fantasy Football FAQ
- What's the difference between PPR and non-PPR scoring? PPR (Points Per Reception) gives players points for each catch, which typically elevates receiver value and makes your league’s overall scoring less reliant on touchdowns. There’s also half-PPR scoring, which awards 0.5 points per catch. Standard scoring doesn’t give any points for receptions, counting only touchdowns and yards.
