Packers vs Falcons Player Props, Picks for Thursday Night Football

Kaleb Johnson Over 34.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Kaleb Johnson's role appeared to take a meaningful step forward last week, and his rushing-yardage prop is still sitting at a very attainable 34.5 yards in a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

Johnson didn't play an offensive snap in Week 1, but he immediately worked his way into the Green Bay Packers‘ backfield rotation against the Jets last week. He led the Packers with eight carries for 32 yards, averaging 4.0 yards per attempt, despite playing only 16 offensive snaps. At that same efficiency, he would need only nine carries to clear this number.

More importantly, MarShawn Lloyd‘s role took a hit after he lost a fumble early in the fourth quarter. Lloyd played just one offensive snap after the turnover and didn't touch the ball again. Johnson then handled both of Green Bay’s running back carries in overtime, gaining 14 yards and providing some solid evidence that he could be moving ahead of Lloyd for early-down work. Chris Brooks remains heavily involved, particularly in passing situations, but Johnson looks capable of carving out the rushing volume we need here.

The matchup is appealing from a game-script standpoint, as well. Atlanta is 0-2, is coming off a 34-3 loss to Carolina, and has one of the league's least efficient offenses through two weeks. That creates a favorable setup for Green Bay — who is favored by 5.5 points — to lean on its running game at home. After Johnson reached 32 yards on only eight attempts last week, a modest bump in workload could be enough to send him over 34.5 rushing yards.

Matthew Golden Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

This sets up as a great spot for Matthew Golden.

Golden has played 82% and 86% of the snaps through two games, tops among Green Bay’s wideouts, and with Jayden Reed out, Golden should be locked into his role in two-WR sets. That’s a big deal, and Golden has already gone for 95 and 58 yards in his two outings in 2026.

The Falcons are a mouth-watering matchup. They’ll be without top corner A.J. Terrell Jr., and they’re allowing the eighth-most receiving yards per game to receivers so far this season (177.5).

Set for a lot of snaps and for good target volume in a date with a struggling defense, Golden can clear his receiving yards prop on TNF.

Packers First Half Spread -2.5 (-136)

Atlanta's offense has been one of the NFL's least productive units through two weeks. The Falcons have scored just 16 total points, produced only one offensive touchdown, and are averaging 4.0 yards per play. They've also turned the ball over six times while forcing none, giving them an NFL-worst -6 turnover differential.

Now Atlanta is turning to Michael Penix Jr. for his first start of the season on a short week at Lambeau Field. Penix has the talent to provide a spark, but Green Bay's defense presents a difficult assignment. The Packers have recorded seven sacks through two games and have been particularly stout against the run, holding opponents to just 2.9 yards per carry. That's significant against an Atlanta offense that would surely like to lean heavily on Bijan Robinson.

Green Bay should also have opportunities offensively. The Falcons have surrendered 508 passing yards and four passing touchdowns through two weeks while failing to record an interception, and — as we just touched on — Terrell has been placed on injured reserve. Jordan Love, meanwhile, has thrown for 532 yards and four touchdowns through two games, so he’s plenty capable of carving up a short-handed and slumping Falcons D.

While the Packers haven't exactly been flawless themselves, this sets up as a difficult spot for the road Falcons on a short week. I think the Pack start fast and take at least a field-goal cushion into the half.
