I picked Alec Burleson for this article yesterday because he was taking on Zac Gallen, a pitcher who is struggling mightily against left-handed hitters. Well, Gallen's start got rained out on Thursday, and he's throwing tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. I'm going back to the well.

Gallen's 2026 numbers are rough, including a 4.82 SIERA and 14.2 strikeout rate. Lefty bats are tattooing him to the tune of a .399 wOBA and 52.3% hard-hit rate.

Jonathan Aranda can take advantage. The lefty-swinging Aranda is a righty killer, with 11 of his 12 bombs this year coming against RHPs. He's got a .392 wOBA and 40.3% hard-hit rate in the split.
