3 Super Bowl Kicking Props to Target

Kicking props can sometimes be overlooked in the wonderful world of sports betting in the NFL. In this year's Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, we'll see a blend of experience and inexperience at kicker when Harrison Butker and Jake Moody take the field.

The regular kicker props are located in a "kicker props" tab when you look at the player prop lines when you click on the game itself. You can also find other unique kicker prop angles in the "kicking/punting" tab that is found when you go into the Super Bowl section on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Let's dive into a few kicking props you should target for this year's Super Bowl.

Jake Moody Under 7.5 Total Kicking Points (-130)

It was a stellar start to Moody's career as the rookie kicker made three field goals in each of his first three games this season. After nailing all nine of his field-goal tries in the first three weeks, the third-round pick out of Michigan has since converted only 15 of his 21 field-goal attempts.

Despite totaling 10 kicking points in the Conference Championship Round, Moody has reached eight-plus kicking points in just four of his last 10 contests. Moody has missed a field goal in three consecutive games, and he also missed an extra-point attempt in that span.

With teams knowing that field goals aren't going to beat Patrick Mahomes in a Super Bowl setting, the 49ers could also be more aggressive in leaving the offense on the field on fourth downs. A mixture of Moody's recent kicking woes and increased aggressiveness from Kyle Shanahan makes the under on 7.5 kicking points an enticing bet to target.

Both Teams to Make a 33+ Yard Field Goal: Yes (-142)

The positive news for both kickers in this game is that weather won't be a concern with the Super Bowl taking place at Allegiant Stadium, which has a roof. While Moody will be kicking at Allegiant Stadium for the first time, Butker isn't a stranger to kicking at this venue due to having to play the Las Vegas Raiders twice a year.

When looking at all 19 games that Moody has been active in this season -- including the playoffs -- he's made a 33-yard or longer field goal in 12 games. Furthermore, the first-year placekicker has connected on a field goal of 33-plus yards in five of his last six appearances.

On the other side of the field, Butker has made a field goal of at least 33 yards in 14 of his 20 games across the regular season and the playoffs. Butker has made a field goal of 33-plus yards in five of his last seven games, and he's converted 15 consecutive field-goal attempts since his last miss in Week 16.

Will Jake Moody Miss a Field Goal? Yes (+210)

As mentioned above, it has been a rough stretch for Moody in recent weeks, missing a field-goal attempt and/or an extra-point try in three consecutive outings. Besides taking Moody to record fewer than 7.5 kicking points, we'll take a chance on him continuing to struggle in the postseason in Sunday's season-finale.

Even though it can be tricky trying to use stats from certain stadiums, there was at least one missed field-goal attempt in three of the nine games played at Allegiant Stadium this season. Butker is somewhat accustomed to kicking at Sunday's venue, but Moody will be making his debut in Las Vegas during the Super Bowl.

While there has been a missed field goal in only two of the last five Super Bowls, one of them happened last year with Butker failing to convert a kick against the Philadelphia Eagles. If Moody were to extend his streak of missed field goals to four games in Sunday's bout, it would also improve the odds of him tallying under 7.5 kicking points.
