Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy football on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Jahmyr Gibbs Any Time Touchdown (+150)

A strong 23.25 implied team total makes the Detroit Lions a good team to target for touchdown props this week.

The Lions have one of the best offenses in the league and we'll look to capture that via the touchdown market with Jahmyr Gibbs. The matchup against the Chicago Bears features a solid 43.5-point over/under and a close 3.0-point spread, which is one of the better game environments on the slate.

The Bears have been solid against the run this season and have only allowed 765 rushing yards to running backs, which is the third-best in the league.

However, the Bears are horrible against running backs in the passing game having allowed 713 receiving yards, which is the worst in the league. They've also allowed five receiving touchdowns to running backs, which is tied for the second-most in the league.

Gibbs comes in with a 16.1% target share this season, which is the third-highest on the team, and a 31.1% red zone rushing share, which is the second-highest on the team.

Yes, there is a snap share with David Montgomery, but he is primarily a rushing option and doesn't see work in the passing game with a 5.2% target share.

Considering the run game matchup is very difficult against the Bears, Gibbs has a chance to see an increased role ahead of Montgomery this week and find his way into the endzone.

Lamar Jackson Under 197.5 Passing Yards (-114)

The Baltimore Ravens host the Los Angeles Rams where the weather could play a part in the game flow.

As of now, weather reports show this game with rain throughout, wind at 15 mph, and gusts over 20 mph. That doesn't set up for a friendly passing environment, which leads me to under 197.5 passing yards for Lamar Jackson.

He's been under this mark in three of his last five games, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise. The Ravens come in with a 48.75% pass play percentage, which is the lowest in the league, meaning they have the league's highest rush play percentage.

Seeing the Ravens pound the ball on the ground won't be a shock to anyone in any game. Add in the wrinkle of the weather potentially impacting the passing game, and their rush play percentage should be put on display this week, causing Jackson to hit under 197.5 passing yards.

Kyren Williams Over 16.5 Rushing Attempts (-114)

Sticking in that same game, over 16.5 rushing attempts for Kyren Williams is the next spot to look.

The weather issues in this game have already been established and present a clear issue for the teams to pile up the yards in the air. Operating under this game flow, this would lead the teams to move the ball on the ground.

The Ravens' defense allows just 171.7 passing yards per game, which is the second-best in the NFL. So right from the jump, this is an extremely tough matchup for the Rams' passing game, and when we combine that with the weather, that won't be the most effective way to move the ball.

In the two games Williams has played since returning from his ankle injury, he totaled 16 and 21 carries. Seeing that type of volume is very encouraging immediately following an injury for a running back.

His role is secure and the overall game environment should allow him to hit over 16.5 rushing attempts.
