Carolyn Barth Renzin

Chief Legal and Compliance Officer

Carolyn is the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of FanDuel Group. In that role, she oversees legal, risk, regulatory engagement, and compliance for the company with the goal of positioning FanDuel as the industry leader in stakeholder trust.

Before joining FanDuel, Renzin was an Assistant General Counsel at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., where she worked as a regulatory litigator and in the Office of the General Counsel modernize the bank’s legal operations. She joined JPMC from the compliance consulting and investigations firm Guidepost Solutions, where she worked with companies under regulatory scrutiny to enhance their compliance functions. Before Guidepost, Renzin was a partner at the boutique law firm Stillman, Friedman & Shechtman where she represented individuals and corporations in civil, criminal, and regulatory litigation in high stakes matters.

Renzin began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and then as an associate at the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Renzin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University and a J.D. magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as an editor of the Michigan Law Review. Originally from New England but married to a New Yorker, she jokes that she can’t share her sports team affiliations at the dinner table!
