Stanley Cup Final: Prop Bets for Oilers-Panthers Game 7

Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-144)

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight, the last game of the NHL season.

After a dominant 3-0 start to the series by the Florida Panthers, the Edmonton Oilers have roared back to life over the last three games to tie up the series and force Game 7.

As mentioned on Covering The Spread this morning, I expect shots to be at a premium tonight. Clogging the passing lanes, denying scoring chances, and blocking shots will be the name of the game.

However, the shots that I expect to see a bit of daylight will come from the blueline and the defensemen. They will throw anything and everything to the net in order to generate even the slightest bit of offensive pressure.

This leads me to Evan Bouchard, who comes in with 15 shots on goal in this six games series, or 2.5 shots per game. He sees time on the first power-play unit alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, which should give him a bit of time and space to fire at the net.

Any shot is a good shot when they're going to be limited overall tonight. Bouchard has a solid role and has proven to bring offensive upside to the table.
