Tuesday brings us a loaded NHL slate, giving bettors plenty of options to choose from across the night.

There are 11 games on the schedule, with action beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET and continuing through a 10:30 p.m. ET puck drop between Buffalo and San Jose. That gives us a nice mix of moneylines, totals, and player props to consider.

Which wagers stand out on FanDuel Sportsbook? Let's break down three of the best NHL bets for Tuesday, with each selection coming from a different game.

NHL Predictions Today: Player Props, Best Bets

Dallas Stars Moneyline (-125)

Devils at Stars — 8:00 p.m. ET

Moneyline

Dallas Stars
Oct 28 12:08am UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Two quality teams meet in Dallas tonight, but I prefer the home side.

The Dallas Stars enter on a five-game winning streak and have climbed to 7-3-1. They have also gone 4-2-0 at home, while the New Jersey Devils are just 1-2-0 on the road despite an impressive 7-4-0 overall record.

Goaltending is one of the biggest reasons to side with Dallas. Jake Oettinger has already recorded three shutouts in nine appearances this season, and the Stars have been excellent on the penalty kill, successfully killing 92.3% of opposing power plays. New Jersey, meanwhile, owns a 74.1% penalty kill.

The Devils certainly aren't an easy opponent. They've won five of their past six games, and Arseny Gritsyuk has scored in five straight. But Dallas is rolling, too, and Jason Robertson has produced multiple points in four consecutive games.

I'll back the Stars to extend their winning streak on home ice.

Kirill Kaprizov Anytime Goal (+125)

Wild at Mammoth — 9:00 p.m. ET

Anytime Goal Scorer
Kirill Kaprizov

Kirill Kaprizov has been one of the league's premier goal scorers for years, and he's taken his production to another level early in 2026-27.

Kaprizov enters Tuesday with an NHL-best 13 goals and 21 points through 13 games. He's scored in 9 of those 13 contests, including four of his past five, and he's already generated 44 shots on goal.

That combination of shot volume and elite finishing makes Kaprizov an appealing anytime-goal target whenever we can get plus money.

Minnesota is also playing well offensively around him, and Kaprizov remains the focal point of both the Wild's top line and power-play attack. He already has three power-play goals and 16 shots with the man advantage this season.

That's enough for me to take a shot on the league's leading goal scorer.

Buffalo Sabres Moneyline (-137)

Sabres at Sharks — 10:30 p.m. ET

Moneyline

Buffalo Sabres
Oct 28 2:40am UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

The Buffalo Sabres haven't had the smoothest start to the season, but this matchup gives them a good opportunity to pick up two points.

Buffalo comes in at 4-4-3, and four of its past five games have needed overtime. Although the Sabres have had issues putting together complete performances, they've generally been competitive, and they've enjoyed a ton of recent success against San Jose.

Buffalo has won seven of its past eight meetings with the Sharks while outscoring San Jose 35-18 over that span.

The Sharks have been dangerous offensively behind Macklin Celebrini, but they've also surrendered a lot of quality looks. San Jose has allowed 139 high-danger scoring chances, one of the league's highest totals, and has blown a two-goal lead four different times already this season.

Buffalo also has some offensive momentum from Jack Quinn, who enters on a four-game point streak with seven points over that span.

At -137, the Sabres moneyline is my preferred way to attack the slate’s final game.

NHL Betting -- Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Puck Line in NHL Betting?

The puck line is hockey's version of a point spread. The standard puck line is usually set at 1.5 goals, meaning a team listed at -1.5 must win by at least two goals for the bet to cash. A team at +1.5 can either win outright or lose by one goal.

What Does the Moneyline Mean in NHL Betting?

A moneyline bet is a wager on which team will win the game. Favorites have negative odds, while underdogs have positive odds. Unlike the puck line, the margin of victory does not matter.

What Are NHL Player Props?

NHL player props allow bettors to wager on an individual player's performance rather than the final result of the game. Common markets include goals, assists, points, shots on goal, and goalie saves.

What Should You Consider When Betting on NHL Games?

Several factors can influence NHL betting decisions, including starting goaltenders, injuries, recent team performance, special-teams play, expected line combinations, and whether a team is playing on consecutive nights. Because goalie confirmations can significantly impact a matchup, it can be useful to check the latest lineup news before placing a bet.
