Lions sign Jared Goff to 4-year, $212 million contract extension

Goff's new deal includes $170 million in guarantees according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, making him one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the league with the second-most guaranteed money per year.

Goff has thrived since linking up with the Lions in the same trade that sent Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams. The former first overall pick, who had previously taken the Rams to a Super Bowl, helped transform a rebuilding Lions franchise into the team we saw make the NFC Championship game this past season.

The Lions are expected to be among this year's top contenders in 2024 with Goff at the helm. Their +1300 Super Bowl Odds are tied for the fourth-shortest and their +145 odds to win the NFC North make them the frontrunners for a second-straight division title.
