NFL Touchdown Predictions: 3 Best NFL Touchdown Bets for Week 5

Week 5 NFL Touchdown Picks at a Glance

  • Quinshon Judkins (+160)
  • D'Andre Swift (-145)
  • Trey McBride (+115)

Touchdown markets are one of the most entertaining ways to bet on an NFL Sunday, but identifying strong candidates goes beyond simply picking the biggest names.

Red-zone usage, overall workload, matchup quality, and expected game environment can all help narrow down the best anytime touchdown bets on the board. Week 5 gives us several appealing options, including a high-scoring matchup between the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals.

Here are our favorite NFL TD bets for this week. We’ll break down the matchup, expected role and other key factors behind each pick to help identify the best anytime touchdown scorer bets available at FanDuel Sportsbook’s NFL odds.

All NFL odds come from FanDuel Sportsbook and may change after this article is published.

Best NFL Touchdown Picks Week 5

Quinshon Judkins to Score a TD (+160)

Browns vs. Jets (1 p.m. ET)

Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Quinshon Judkins finally found the end zone last week, and his usage suggests more touchdowns should be coming.

Judkins handled 17 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers while adding six receptions for 43 yards. He accounted for 23 touches in total, giving him his largest workload of the season.

More importantly for this market, the Cleveland Browns have consistently turned to Judkins near the goal line. He has handled all nine of the Browns' running back carries in the red zone this season while also drawing three targets in that area of the field. That kind of touchdown equity is hard to ignore.

His workload has grown steadily, too. After opening the year with 14 touches, Judkins has logged 17, 20, and 23 touches over his past three games. That gives us a player who is increasingly dominating Cleveland's backfield while also controlling its high-value rushing opportunities.

Given Judkins’ red-zone role and recent workload, I like him to make it two straight games with a score.

D'Andre Swift to Score a TD (-145)

Bears vs. Packers (1 p.m. ET)

Any Time Touchdown Scorer

D'Andre Swift hasn't scored since his three-touchdown eruption in Week 1, but his usage around the goal line makes him an appealing touchdown candidate.

Swift has handled 69 carries for 311 yards through four games, averaging a solid 4.5 yards per attempt. He's also caught 10 passes for another 84 yards, giving him nearly 100 scrimmage yards per game.

The touchdowns haven't followed recently, but the opportunities are still there.

Swift has logged 19 rushing attempts from inside the opponent's 20-yard line this season, producing two touchdowns on those carries. He also still leads Kyle Monangai in red-zone rushing opportunities, 19 to 14.

That's encouraging heading into a matchup with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have struggled against the run, ranking near the bottom of the league in rushing defense and allowing the second-most rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs entering Week 5.

There's some added volatility because Monangai has become more involved, but Swift remains the Chicago Bears‘ starter and continues to get valuable red-zone work.

After three straight games without a touchdown, this looks like a good spot for Swift to return to the end zone.

Trey McBride to Score a TD (+115)

Lions vs. Cardinals (4:25 p.m. ET)

Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Trey McBride is my favorite touchdown target from Sunday's highest-profile offensive environment.

McBride has scored twice through four games while establishing himself as the clear focal point of the Arizona Cardinals‘ passing game. He's hauled in 33 of 46 targets for 242 yards, and his 11.5 targets per game demonstrate just how heavily involved he is in the Cardinals' offense.

His involvement around the goal line is particularly encouraging. McBride has posted at least a 30% target share in three of Arizona's four games, and Week 4 was his first outing of the season without multiple red-zone targets.

Now he draws an outstanding matchup with the Detroit Lions.

The Lions have struggled badly against opposing passing attacks, surrendering 304.0 passing yards per game, and their issues covering tight ends have been particularly notable. Detroit has also allowed opponents to turn 82.4% of their red-zone trips into touchdowns.

McBride scored in each of his first two games this season before going without a touchdown in his last two. With his elite target volume and a favorable matchup in a game carrying a total of 54.5 points, this looks like an excellent rebound spot.
