The NFL doesn’t end with the 1:00 ET slate of games. The NFL's late-afternoon Sunday slate offers a smaller group of games, but that does not mean there is a shortage of appealing betting opportunities.

Using our NFL projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props and betting picks we like for today’s late slate.

NFL Picks, Prop Bets for Today’s Late Slate

Chargers +5.5 (-104)

Texans at Chargers — 4:05 p.m. ET

Spread

Los Angeles Chargers
Nov 8 9:06pm UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

The Los Angeles Chargers have endured a disastrous 0-7 start, but their defense has remained competitive despite the team's offensive struggles. Los Angeles ranks ninth in defensive EPA per play (-0.038) and eighth in defensive EPA per dropback (-0.009). That unit could make life difficult for the Houston Texans‘ offense even if C.J. Stroud is playing good ball.

Houston's offense has been significantly more effective through the air than on the ground. The Texans rank 28th in rushing success rate (34.0%), which could make it difficult for them to consistently control the game. Meanwhile, the Chargers' pass rush, led by Tuli Tuipulotu and Khalil Mack, has the potential to overpower a meh Houston O-Line.

The biggest concern is Los Angeles' offense, which ranks last in EPA per play (-0.231) and success rate (36.0%). However, I think Justin Herbert is capable of making enough plays to keep the Chargers competitive, particularly if the Bolts’ defense continues playing at a top-10 level.

With Los Angeles getting more than a field goal at home, the Chargers have a path to covering the spread even without securing their first victory.

Jadarian Price 50+ Rushing Yards (-136)

Cardinals at Seahawks — 4:25 p.m. ET

Jadarian Price - Alt Rushing Yds

Jadarian Price has played four games for the Seattle Seahawks this season, totaling 148 rushing yards on 38 carries. He has reached at least 50 yards in two appearances, including a 13-carry, 52-yard performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. That previous meeting is an encouraging reference point for this rematch, though his 3.9 yards per carry means he likely needs a substantial workload to reach the threshold.

Price handled 48% of Seattle’s offensive snaps upon returning off IR in Week 8 and led the backfield with 10 of the team’s 19 rushing attempts, a 52.6% carry share. He also accounted for 14 of the Seahawks’ 26 running-back opportunities when targets are included.

Seattle is an 8.5-point home favorite and will have backup Drew Lock under center — two things that could lead to a run-heavy Seahawks offense.

While Price’s 29 rushing yards against Chicago were underwhelming and Zach Charbonnet remains involved, another game with a leading share of carries gives Price a plausible route to 50-plus rushing yards.

DeMarcus Robinson Anytime Touchdown (+220)

Raiders at 49ers — 4:25 p.m. ET

Any Time Touchdown Scorer

The expectation is that Deebo Samuel and Mike Evans will be out this week. Someone other than George Kittle has to catch passes down the field for the San Francisco 49ers. That leads me to DeMarcus Robinson

Robinson caught five passes for 84 yards and a touchdown across his first two appearances before suffering a high-ankle sprain. He averaged 16.8 yards per reception in those games, including a 39-yard reception and a touchdown against the Rams in Week 1.

The 49ers could need Robinson to play a big role against the Las Vegas Raiders, and it’s a superb matchup versus a Vegas’ defense that has allowed the most yards per play (6.1).

Robinson’s big-play ability and touchdown upside make him an interesting play at these odds.
