Wizards acquire guard Malcolm Brogdon in trade with Portland

Brogdon, along with the 14th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, a 2029 first-round pick, and two second-round picks will head to the Wizards with forward Deni Avdija moving to Portland.

Brogdon joined Portland last summer in a trade with the Celtics that resulted in Jrue Holiday moving to Boston.

Brogdon, the 2022-23 Sixth Man of the Year, appeared in 39 games for Portland, averaging 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
