MLB Player Props

Xander Bogaerts to Record 2+ Hits (+210)

Dylan Cease delivering the second no-hitter in San Diego Padres' franchise history on Thursday is taking the headlines, but he's not the only white-hot Padre. There's red-hot, and then, there's Xander Bogaerts.

The San Diego Padres' infielder is batting .469 paired with a OBP of .500 in July. He's totaled at least two hits in four of his last five games, including a four-hit performance on July 24th.

Bogaerts is sitting at +200 to log two hits once again. Considering the streak, these odds are too good to pass on.

The four-time All-Star will face the Baltimore Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez on Friday. Rodriguez is on the opposite end of the spectrum in July, holding a 5.82 ERA over his last three appearances compared to his season-long 3.83 ERA -- far from a hot streak.

According to Savant, Rodriguez mostly deals four-seam fastballs (45.6%) with a changeup as his second-most used tool (21.2). Bogaerts is hitting a blistering .343 against four seamers this season.

With Rodriguez only his second season in the big leagues, we've only seen two career at-bats from Bogaerts in this matchup. Once again, the infielder is carrying favorable stats with one hit over the two matchups.

Baltimore's hurler has shown enough chinks in the armor for Bogaerts to keep on rolling on Friday night.

Charlie Morton Under 17.5 Outs Recorded (+106)

Charlie Morton's advanced stats (3.99 SIERA; 3.95 xFIP) won't leap off of the page, but the veteran pitcher still gets it done by regularly providing deep showings.

It's been same old, same old for the Atlanta Braves' hurler, who has completed the sixth inning in back-to-back games and in five on his past eight. Morton has not appeared in the sixth in only one of his previous eight outings.

With that said, Morton is a layup to go over 17.5 outs recorded, right? Think again; the New York Mets could provide enough of a challenge for Morton to do the opposite.

There's something about New York that has consistently frustrated the vet pitcher -- who has not finished the sixth in five of his last seven meetings with the Mets.

New York's power hitting should be a huge threat for an early pull in this clash. Morton has given up four home runs over his last three starts. Meanwhile, the Mets have launched 10 dingers over their last 4 contests. That's right -- a per-game average of 2.5!

This isn't that fluky either with New York boasting the fifth-highest home runs percentage and sixth-highest isolated power (ISO) in MLB.

The Mets have Morton's number. Give me under 17.5 recorded outs tonight.

Anthony Volpe to Record 2+ Hits (+190)

We are going to keep beating the drum for rolling hitters reaching 2+ hits. In the heated collision between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, Anthony Volpe is worth circling.

First off, Brayan Bello is a starting pitcher that makes targeting batters an easy decision. Boston's hurler has given up at least three earned runs in three consecutive games. Plus, he's allowed seven hits in three of his last four contests. That 5.27 ERA and 1.44 WHIP says enough.

Volpe has flourished against Bello, coming up with three hits over eight career at-bats (.375). Most importantly, the Yankees' shortstop has been like a man with his hair caught on fire, slashing .333/.357/.556 over his previous seven contests. This stretch includes three multi-hit games, as well.

Bello heavily leans on his sinker with a 39.9% usage rate while Volpe is hitting .280 on the season against this pitch -- nearly .030 better than his season average of .251.

Volpe continuing his dominance over Bello while reaching at least two hits is certainly in the cards.
