Lions vs. Bills Props: 3 Best NFL Player Prop Bets, Picks for TNF

Lions vs Bills Props at a Glance
- Jahmyr Gibbs Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
- Sam LaPorta Under 4.5 Receptions (-128)
- D.J. Moore Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Thursday Night Football brings us a heavyweight matchup in Week 2 as the Buffalo Bills host the Detroit Lions.
Both teams opened the 2026 season with a victory, and there should be no shortage of offensive firepower on the field Thursday night. Josh Allen leads a dangerous Buffalo attack, while Detroit counters with Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown and an offense capable of putting points on the board in a hurry.
With two talented teams squaring off in prime time, the betting board offers plenty to dig into. Using the NFL odds at FanDuel Sportsbook as a guide, here are the best bets for this game.

Lions vs Bills Player Props, Picks for Thursday Night Football
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Jahmyr Gibbs - Receiving Yds
This is a big ask for most running backs. Jahmyr Gibbs is not most running backs.
Gibbs is one of the best backs in the game, and he’s an excellent pass-catcher. I think this game environment sets up well for him to have a big night as a receiver.
The Detroit Lions are 4.5-point road ‘dogs at the Buffalo Bills. A negative game script would be a boon for this bet. In losses in his career, Gibbs has averaged 4.9 catches and 33.7 yards per game.
But this isn’t fully contingent on the Lions falling behind. Gibbs averaged 38.7 receiving yards per game in wins last season. Plus, in Week 1, the Buffalo Bills gave up four RB receptions to the Houston Texans.
While I’m also interested in Gibbs over 4.5 catches at +110 odds, given Gibbs’ big-play ability, I prefer to take him in this market.
Sam LaPorta Under 4.5 Receptions (-128)
Sam LaPorta - Total Receptions
The Bills were lights out against tight ends last season, which pushes me to the under on Sam LaPorta‘s receptions prop.
In 2025, Buffalo allowed a total of 46 catches to TEs all year. That was a league-low mark by a huge margin as no other team let up fewer than 67 receptions to tight ends.
Over the last two seasons, LaPorta has averaged 4.4 and 3.8 receptions per game. Add in a brutal matchup and how many mouths there are to feed in Detroit’s offense, and the under is the side I want to be on.
D.J. Moore Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
D.J. Moore - Receiving Yds
D.J. Moore had a big Bills debut, and he can keep it rolling this week against a Lions defense that struggled mightily on the road in 2025.
Away from Ford Field, Detroit’s defense permitted 7.6 yards per pass attempt and a 102.3 QB rating — compared to marks of 6.9 and 84.1, respectively, at home.
That, coupled with the sky-high 54.5-point over/under, makes this a smash spot for Buffalo’s passing game.
Moore operated as the Bills’ clear-cut top option in Week 1. He led the team’s WRs in snap rate (76%) and targets (eight), finishing with five grabs for 100 yards and a TD. Detroit allowed 10 catches for 182 yards last week to Chris Olave, the New Orleans Saints‘ top wideout, so Moore checks a lot of boxes for TNF.
