All customers complete a secure identity verification process, called Know Your Customer (KYC), before joining the platform—similar to opening a bank account.
Along with verification at onboarding, we perform ongoing monitoring to identify potential underage or proxy betting. When identified, we take immediate action to close accounts, and work with law enforcement or regulators as appropriate to maintain a fair environment for all players.

"Customer protection is at the heart of what we do. FanDuel has strong verification processes in place to help confirm a customer’s identity and age before they can open an account.”

When you sign up for an account, we’ll ask for a few basic details, including your name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. We use secure identity verification systems to confirm who you are and to make sure you meet the legal age requirements.

We may also ask for your full Social Security Number or a photo ID. All verification attempts are stored securely. Accounts can’t be created without a date of birth, and anyone under the legal age are blocked from creating an account.

We value your trust and take your privacy seriously. Your information is protected with the highest levels of security at every step, and we’re committed to being transparent about how it’s handled. You can learn more by reviewing the Privacy Policy in our Terms & Conditions.
