WM Phoenix Open Key Stats

WM Phoenix Open Daily Fantasy Targets

These picks stand out relative to their FanDuel daily fantasy golf salary. All stats cited below originate at datagolf and reference ranks relative to the field over the past 50 rounds unless otherwise noted.

WM Phoenix Open Daily Fantasy Studs

Scottie Scheffler ($12,500 | +500)

Scheffler is going for the three-peat at a tournament he has dominated the last two years. He leads the field in strokes gained off the tee and approach, and his strokes gained tee to green average (+3.19 per round) is more than double the third-ranked golfer, Max Homa (+1.51).

Scheffler’s struggles with the putter are well documented, but the one place those struggles have not shown up is TPC Scottsdale. In his last three starts at this event, he has gained 1.06, 1.63, and 1.29 strokes putting per round – better than any of his putting performances at other events in his last 25 starts. This is the one course where Scheffler has consistently put it all together.

He enters this week coming off a sixth-place finish at the weather-shortened AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, where he gained 0.64 strokes putting per round – his third-best performance in his last 25 starts.

Max Homa ($11,800 | +1600)

Homa is coming off a disappointing T66 at Pebble Beach where he lost strokes tee to green for the first time in his last 15 events and finished worse than T14 for the first time in 11 events.

He’s third in the field in strokes gained: off the tee, tee to green, and overall. He has putted decently well at TPC Scottsdale in the past, gaining strokes in four of five appearances, and he is the only player in the field that ranks inside the top 30 in both driving distance and accuracy.

Others to Consider:

  • Justin Thomas ($11,900 | +1000)
  • J.T. Poston ($10,400 | +3300)
  • Byeong Hun An ($10,200 | +2800)

WM Phoenix Open Daily Fantasy Mid-Range Plays

Si Woo Kim ($9,700 | +5500)

Kim has three top-25 finishes this season despite losing strokes with his putter. He is coming off an impressive three rounds at Pebble Beach where he finished T14, ranked 2nd in strokes gained tee to green, 8th in strokes gained approach, 11th in strokes gained around the green and 10th in total strokes gained.

Kim is seventh in the field in shots gained tee to green, ninth off the tee, and third in driving accuracy. He’s 124th in the field in strokes gained putting, but his second-best putting performance since the start of 2023 came at this event last season, when he finished T23.

Corey Conners ($9,500 | +6000)

Conners is 6th in the field in strokes gained: tee to green, 4th in strokes gained: off the tee, 25th in strokes gained approach and 22nd in total strokes gained. His weakness is his short game – he ranks 71st in strokes gained around the green and 100th in strokes gained putting.

In his last five events where he gained strokes putting, Conners finished inside the top 20 four times. He’s been hit-or-miss on the greens at TPC Scottsdale in his four starts, finishing with strokes gained half the time. He made the cut in all four appearances.

Others to Consider:

  • Akshay Bhatia ($9,800 | +7500)
  • Adam Hadwin ($9,800 | +5000)
  • Beau Hossler ($9,600 | +5500)
  • Thomas Detry ($9,400 | +7500)

WM Phoenix Open Daily Fantasy Values

Kevin Yu ($8,600 | +8000)

Yu is sixth in the field in strokes gained: off the tee. In his last three events he finished T58 at Pebble Beach, T6 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and T3 at the American Express. He is 12th in the field in driving distance and 66th in accuracy.

His putting is a concern, but he’s gained strokes in two of his last three events, including the second-best putting performance of his career at the Farmers two weeks ago.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout ($8,600 | +10000)

Bezuidenhout is enjoying an excellent start to his season thanks to his putting and approach play. He has three top-10 finishes in his last six events and finished inside the top 10 in strokes gained: approach in both the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The American Express.

He’s 32nd in the field in strokes gained putting, 37th in strokes gained: approach, and 42nd in total strokes gained.

Others to Consider:

  • Kurt Kitayama ($8,900 | +8000)
  • Harris English ($8,800 | +11000)
  • Mark Hubbard ($8,500 | +10000)
