Washington-Michigan: How to Watch CFP National Title Game, Odds Breakdown
The 2023-24 college football season will be the final campaign before we see rampant conference movement in addition to a playoff expansion. And believe you me, this year has certainly lived up to the hype.
For the passing holiday weekend's pivotal CFP action, we were privy to two intensely competitive semifinal contests. With the dust now settled, we are left with a meeting of undefeateds in next Monday's title game: the Washington Huskies (14-0) and Michigan Wolverines (14-0).
Naturally, the upcoming title game will feature a litany of explosive athletes on both sidelines. Personally, I think this will set up our fiercest battle for the natty in quite some time. Remember: we have not had a one-score contest in the championship game since 2017-18.
With Monday's kickoff between Washington and Michigan already at the forefront of the nation's mind, let's dive into all you need to know for the 2023-24 CFP National Championship Pres. by AT&T.

This year, the natty will bestow upon South Main Houston, taking place at NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans).
The Wolverines earned their spot after winning the Big Ten behind a 13-0 record. From there, U-M outlasted the Alabama Crimson Tide last Monday in a Rose Bowl instant classic, utilizing a defensive stop in overtime to seal the deal.
Winners of the Pac-12 in their last season as a member, the Huskies rode a high-flying attack to also finish the regular season at 13-0 (which included two impressive wins over the rival Oregon Ducks). Most recently, Washington outdueled the Texas Longhorns in the Sugar Bowl, securing their place in the national title game.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, Michigan opened as a 4.5-point favorite, which is where the line currently sits (as of Tuesday). With the teams on hand presenting a clash of styles, the total is set at 55.5 points. For reference, the total closed at 46.0 in the Wolverines' Rose Bowl victory, while the Huskies' win at the Sugar Bowl carried a total of 61.5 points.
Against the spread (ATS), Washington went 7-6-1 this year, while U-M was just a hair better at 8-5-1 ATS.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the received action on the natty at FanDuel Sportsbook shows more public support for Washington ATS. However, in the moneyline market, Michigan has brought back a slightly larger handle.
