The Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs is this Sunday, and we will see two of the best running backs in football face off asChristian McCaffrey and Isiah Pacheco lead their backfields.

The best part is that FanDuel is offering a chance to bet on the matchup and others in the Super Bowl with the Player Matchups market. The matchup between McCaffrey and Pacheco features bets on their rushing, receiving, and touchdown totals.

Let's dive into the Super Bowl matchup betting between McCaffrey and Pacheco to see which bets are the best of the batch.

Super Bowl Matchup Betting: Christian McCaffrey vs. Isiah Pacheco

Over 165.5 Combined Rushing Yards (-110)

Christian McCaffrey-23.5 (-110)-230Over 165.5 (-110)
Isiah Pacheco-23.5 (-110)+190Under 165.5 (-110)

When looking at the rushing yards side of things, it's hard to bet against McCaffrey in any fashion -- but the same goes for Pacheco in these playoffs. That's why taking the over on their combined rushing yards Sunday feels like the move here.

McCaffrey has dominated in the playoffs. He's averaging 94 rushing yards through two postseason games. Pacheco hasn't been too bad himself, though, averaging 84.7 rushing yards in his three playoff games. It's simple -- these two have been the centers of their offenses, and it makes hitting that Over 164.5 seem like an easy one to believe in.

With Jerick McKinnon unable to practice, the workload for Pacheco should remain the same as in previous weeks, too.

To support the over even more, both the 49ers and Chiefs struggle to stop the run. According to numberFire's scheduled-adjusted metrics, the 49ers rank 18th in stopping the run and the Chiefs are 28th. Both teams have and will continue to lean on their backs, especially with this being the case for the defenses.

Normal performances for these two backs should get us to our mark.

Christian McCaffrey-0.5 (+150)-210Over 1.5 (+180)
Isiah Pacheco+0.5 (-175)+175Under 1.5 (-230)

Scoring touchdowns has been the name of the game for McCaffrey and Pacheco. The fact this comes in with +180 odds is a bit surprising.

In the playoffs thus far, McCaffrey and Pacheco have combined for seven touchdowns in five games. CMC alone has recorded two touchdowns in each game in these playoffs, making the Over 1.5 Rushing Touchdowns a hit.

Overall, McCaffrey has 18 rushing touchdowns between the regular season and playoffs -- which is 18 games played for him. He's a near lock to get a score, giving us enough confidence for him to hold up his end of the bargain.

As noted, Pacheco has been scoring a lot as of late, too. He's scored a rushing touchdown in all three playoff games and has scored seven total in his last seven outings. Leaning on Pacheco has been what has helped push the Chiefs back to their second straight Super Bowl, so don't expect that to change now.

The run that these two rushers are on gives us plenty of belief in them getting the job done on Sunday by getting into the end zone.

Pacheco +41.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards (-110)

Christian McCaffrey-41.5 (-110)-290Over 222.5 (-110)
Isiah Pacheco+41.5 (-110)+240Under 222.5 (-110)

The final bet to consider in this matchup market is Pacheco being within 41.5 rushing plus receiving yards of McCaffrey's final total. Both players have been dominant in the playoffs, and that 41.5 total is just too big to side with McCaffrey over Pacheco.

McCaffrey has recorded 132, 128, and 131 total yards in each of the last three games he's played completely. That's thanks to rushing for 90 or more yards in each game and adding 28 or more receiving yards, as well.

Pacheco has finished with 82, 113, and 88 total yards in his last three games. It's been only one game out of those three where McCaffrey has outdone Pacheco by the 41.5-yard mark that we are looking for, so it gives us enough confidence in Pacheco staying close enough. He's also not sharing the ball with as many players on the Chiefs' offense compared to the 49ers, which we can bank on benefiting Pacheco here.

Our projections -- powered by numberFire -- back this bet. The projections expect McCaffrey to finish with 121.6 total yards and Pacheco to finish with 86.0 yards, playing to the expectations in this market.
