NHL Prop Bets

Matthew Tkachuk To Score a Goal (+190)

With a chance to close out the series and hoist Lord Stanley's Cup, the Florida Panthers will need their very best tonight.

A home game while being up 3-1 in the Stanley Cup Final is the dream for every team and that's where we find the Panthers, as they look to pick up one more win over the Edmonton Oilers.

While I anticipate a lower-scoring game overall, I'll look to Matthew Tkachuk for a goal tonight.

Tkachuk hasn't scored a goal in nine games despite having 32 shots on goal over that time. He's not only goalless in this series, we have to go all the way back to Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Rangers for his last goal.

This is rather surprising for him given his prominent offensive role on the second forward line and the first power-play unit.

The playoffs are no stranger for him as he posted 11 goals in 20 games last season, while averaging 3.05 shots per game. This year, he's up at 3.66 shots per game but has just 5 goals in 21 games.

He's shooting at a higher volume but not coming away with goals. It's a bit of bad variance but there's no time like a Stanley Cup clinching game to right the ship.

Sergei Bobrovsky Over 24.5 Saves (-128)

With the Oilers looking to extend their season tonight, Sergei Bobrovsky will likely be busy.

Down 3-1, it's an all-out effort for the Oilers tonight. They will look to force Bobrovsky into a higher workload, which is great for his saves prop.

Throughout this series, Edmonton has held the shot attempt advantage 250-231, and they should replicate that rate of production tonight.

Simply put, if the Oilers aren't taking enough shots, they aren't doing enough to prevent their season from ending.

Bobrovsky averaged 27.3 saves in the first three games of this series, which is a good indication of what we should see tonight. He was pulled early in Game 4, so it's not worth adding to the sample size.
