NHL Stanley Cup Final Game 7 Betting Picks and Prediction (Oilers vs. Panthers)

It's Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight as the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers fight to be called champions one more time.

Whether it's moneylines or total goals, there are plenty of ways to bet on the NHL action all season. It's been a long 82-game campaign, meaning that the best selections of each night can be very different based on backup goalies coming into play, injuries that add up, and if teams are due for positive or negative swings. Now it's time for the Stanley Cup Final, pitting the best against the best from each conference.

Let's dive into the best bets for Monday.

NHL Best Bets

Edmonton Oilers at Florida Panthers

Under 5.5 Goals (-154)

In a series where we've seen everything, Game 7 should go down to the wire, and I'll take Under 5.5 Goals (-154).

The Stanley Cup Final has seen blowouts, back-and-forth battles, and a series go from 3-0 to a Game 7. It has hit all the marks that playoff hockey often does and then some.

The last four meetings have gone over 5.5 goals, but the final game of the series brings maximum pressure. With Game 7 in Amerant Bank Arena, I see the Panthers finally controlling some of the play again -- win or lose.

The Oilers' path to success has been unsurprisingly their offensive output. Since Game 4, they've outscored the Panthers by a score of 18-5. They've been playing with drive, desperation, and the must-win mentality. That clicked in for Florida in Game 5 when they nearly surged back against Edmonton but came up short before getting blown out in Game 6.

Now with both teams in full desperation mode and every bounce potentially being one that crowns the new Stanley Cup champion, this is going to be as tense as you'd expect from a Game 7 in the Stanely Cup Final.

Despite the goalscoring that the Oilers have shown as of late, this series is still as close as you can get in terms of expected numbers. The Oilers have a slight edge over Florida, averaging 3.09 expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60). The Panthers currently sit at 2.99 xGF/60, lining up for the close game you'd expect in this situation.

There have been 17 Game 7s in the history of the Stanley Cup Final, and the final total has gone over 5.5 goals just one time.

A chance to etch your name in history is on the line tonight. Tonight's Game 7 is as highly anticipated as any and should be as tight as they come between these two teams.
