NFL Draft Betting: How Many Quarterbacks Will Be Drafted in the First Round?

The NFL Draft starts on Thursday, April 27th, and FanDuel Sportsbook already has plenty of NFL Draft odds up.

One of the markets available is how many quarterbacks will come off the board in Round 1. The line is set at 4.5, with +148 odds on the over and a -200 number on the under.

Let's break things down.

According to Grinding the Mocks, four quarterbacks have an expected draft position (EDP) inside the first 11 picks. Those four are Bryce Young (1.6 EDP), C.J. Stroud (2.2), Anthony Richardson (5.8), and Will Levis (10.4).

The only other quarterback with an EDP inside the first two rounds is Hendon Hooker, who owns an EDP of 33.2, just outside the top-32 picks.

Barring something unforeseen, Hooker looks like the guy who will swing this bet.

The former Tennessee Volunteer has an interesting profile. He's already 25 years old and is coming off a torn ACL, which isn't ideal, but he put up gaudy stats -- including a 58-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio over his final two seasons (24 games) -- and lit up top defenses.

NFL Network's James Palmer, on a recent episode of the Cut To It podcast, said plenty of teams have Hooker ranked as their QB3 in this class.

How you feel about Hooker's chances of going in Round 1 should determine which side of this bet you're on.
