NBA Props Today: 3 Best NBA Player Prop Bets for Friday, Oct. 30

Today’s Best NBA Prop Bets at a Glance

  • Cade Cunningham Under 9.5 Assists (-154)
  • Collin Murray-Boyles Under 8.5 Points (-130)
  • Nikola Jokic Over 46.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)

Friday’s NBA schedule gives us a deep NBA player prop board to work with, and several early-season trends stand out.

Between favorable matchups, established usage and a few lines that look a little aggressive, there are some appealing spots across tonight’s slate.

Using the NBA player props odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, here are three NBA prop bets I like today.

NBA Prop Bets for Today: Best NBA Props

Cade Cunningham Under 9.5 Assists (-154)

Pistons at Nets — 7:30 p.m. ET

Cade Cunningham - Assists

Cade Cunningham Under

Cade Cunningham is the engine of the Detroit Pistons’ offense, but his assist prop looks a little too high for Friday’s matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.

Cunningham is averaging 7.8 assists through five games and has yet to reach double-digit assists this season. His assist totals have been remarkably consistent: 8, 8, 8, 8 and 7.

That makes 9.5 a meaningful hurdle. Cunningham obviously owns enough usage to create plenty of opportunities, but he would need to exceed his season high by two assists just to beat us.

Detroit is also a 7.5-point favorite at Brooklyn, creating at least a little blowout risk. Cunningham has played fewer than 34 minutes in two of his first five games, and a comfortable Pistons win could make it even more difficult for him to accumulate 10-plus assists.

Collin Murray-Boyles Under 8.5 Points (-130)

Magic at Raptors — 7:30 p.m. ET

Collin Murray-Boyles - Points

Collin Murray-Boyles Under

Collin Murray-Boyles has been a useful rotation piece for the Toronto Raptors, but he hasn't carried enough offensive volume to justify expecting nine points on a regular basis.

Murray-Boyles is averaging only 6.8 points through four games while playing 18.0 minutes per night. He has finished with 6, 8, 3 and 10 points, putting him below tonight's number in three of four outings.

The one over came Wednesday against the Orlando Magic — the same team Toronto faces today — when Murray-Boyles scored 10 points on only five field-goal attempts. He made three of those shots, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, so he needed an unusually efficient shooting performance just to barely clear this number.

His role is much more concerning for the over than the matchup itself. Murray-Boyles has attempted only 21 total field goals across four games, an average of just 5.3 per contest.

Unless CMB’s playing time or offensive involvement suddenly jumps, the under is the side I want.

Nikola Jokic Over 46.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)

Nuggets at Suns — 10:00 p.m. ET

Nikola Jokic - Pts + Reb + Ast

Nikola Jokic Over
Oct 31 2:10am UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Nikola Jokic has already started filling the box score in typical fashion, and this matchup with the Phoenix Suns gives him a strong chance to threaten 50 combined points, rebounds and assists.

Jokic has recorded 44 PRA in each of his last two games, including a 21-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist triple-double Wednesday against New Orleans. One game earlier, he totaled 19 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists against Golden State.

His ceiling has already been much higher. Jokic erupted for 35 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against New Orleans last Saturday, giving him 60 PRA in that one.

That means he has averaged 49.0 PRA over his last three games despite falling short of this particular line twice. The underlying volume remains excellent, especially as a facilitator: Jokic has posted double-digit assists in three of his first four regular-season games.

Phoenix has struggled badly on the defensive end to begin the season. A competitive game — spread is 4.5 — should give Jokic a full workload, and his ability to contribute heavily in all three categories gives him multiple paths to getting beyond 46.5.

NBA Player Prop Bets FAQ

What are NBA player prop bets?

NBA player prop bets are wagers on specific statistical outcomes for individual players during a game — independent of which team wins or loses. You might bet on how many points a star guard scores, whether a big man grabs 10 or more rebounds, or how many assists a point guard dishes out.

What types of NBA player props are available?

FanDuel offers an extensive menu of NBA props. The most common categories include:

  • Points — over/under on a player's scoring total
  • Rebounds — over/under on total boards (offensive + defensive)
  • Assists — over/under on dimes dished
  • Three-pointers made — over/under on made threes
  • Points + rebounds + assists (PRA) — combined stat total for those three stats
  • Double-double or triple-double — yes/no prop on achieving the milestone

How do NBA player prop odds work?

NBA props use the standard American (moneyline) odds format. A negative number indicates how much you must wager to profit $100, while a positive number shows the profit on a $100 bet.

  • -115 odds — bet $115 to win $100
  • +115 odds — bet $100 to win $115
  • -200 odds — bet $200 to win $100

What is a points prop bet in the NBA?

A points prop is a bet on whether a specific player will score over or under a set total. For example, a line might read: LeBron James — Points — Over 24.5 (-110).

Key factors to research before betting points props include the player's recent scoring form, the opposing team's defensive rating and points allowed to their position, pace of play, and how many minutes the player is likely to play.

What is a PRA prop bet for NBA?

PRA stands for Points + Rebounds + Assists — a combined stat prop that totals all three categories into one number. For example, a Nikola Jokic PRA line might be set at 49.5.

PRA props are popular for versatile players because their contributions span multiple statistical categories. They're less volatile than single-stat props since a slow scoring night can be offset by a strong rebounding or passing game.
