Los Angeles Lakers (+150)

As of early June, the Los Angeles Lakers are the favorite to select Bronny at +150 odds.

That shouldn't be much of a surprise considering LeBron James's role in the organization. LeBron does have a player option that he has to accept or decline by June 29th -- just two days after the conclusion of the draft.

It remains to be seen what LeBron will do, but it would be hard to imagine him leaving LA if they draft his son.

That's something that became more plausible after the New Orleans Pelicans elected to defer their rights to LA's first-round pick until 2025. With that, the Lakers now have the 17th and 55th picks.

But will the Lakers want to pick Bronny that early given their other roster needs? That's likely the biggest question mark for this market.

CBS Sports' most recent mock draft had the Lakers picking elsewhere with the 17th pick with Bronny dropping out of the first round. Bleacher Report's latest mock had Bronny going to LA with the 55th pick. That feels like a more likely landing spot considering Bronny is Kevin O'Connor's 69th-ranked prospect.

Phoenix Suns (+850)

The Phoenix Suns have the second-shortest odds to select Bronny James at +850. In terms of odds, they're the clear favorite outside of Los Angeles, likely stemming from reports that Phoenix is one of the few teams he is going to accept a workout invite for.

That tracks with reporting that the Suns are looking to lure LeBron to Phoenix. While the Suns don't have the cap space to sign James to a big-time contract, they could present an intriguing case for him to join forces with his son along with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

But, like the Lakers, the Suns aren't flooded with talent or picks. They have several holes to fill, but only one pick, No. 17, in the 2024 draft.

Still, Suns owner Matt Ishbia hasn't been shy about making win-now moves early into his tenure. It doesn't hurt that LeBron's former teammate, James Jones, is Phoenix's GM.

Others

The Lakers and Suns are the only two teams with shorter than 15/1 odds to select Bronny James.

After them, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Utah Jazz are all next in line at +1600 odds.

Cleveland would be an intriguing landing spot for Bronny given LeBron's long history with the city and organization. They have the 20th overall pick.

The Sixers have shown interest in signing someone to a max contract, so selecting Bronny could go a long way in luring LeBron to Philly. Philadelphia has the 16th and 41st pick in the draft.

While it may be hard to imagine LeBron taking his talents to Utah, the Jazz have shown interest in Bronny. They have the 10th, 29th, and 32nd picks.

The list of teams that could select Bronny opens up after those five. The New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors both have +2000 odds to select Bronny, followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat at +2200, and then the Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls at +2500.

No other team has shorter than +3500 odds to select Bronny James.
