Jacob Lopez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-106)

A’s vs. Rangers, 2:36 p.m. ET

My favorite K prop of the day comes in one of the early starts as I like lefty Jacob Lopez to go over 5.5 Ks against the Texas Rangers.

Overall this campaign, Lopez has taken a huge step back. After excelling to the tune of a 3.76 SIERA and 28.3% strikeout rate last year, Lopez owns a 4.72 SIERA and 21.8% K rate in 2026.

With that said, he’s been much better lately. Across his past six starts, Lopez has pitched to a 2.62 expected ERA, 30.9% strikeout rate and 14.5% swinging-strike rate. One of his starts in that span came against Texas, and he fanned six over six one-run innings.

Missing way more bats of late and seemingly finding his 2025 form, Lopez can cook against a Rangers offense that has the 11th-highest strikeout rate versus southpaws this season (23.8%).

Roman Anthony to Record 2+ H/R/RBI (-140)

Mariners vs. Red Sox, 4:11 p.m. ET

Roman Anthony is back atop the order for the Boston Red Sox, and that makes him an appealing target in the H/R/RBI market.

Anthony has just 144 MLB plate appearances to his name this season due to injury. Don’t forget how great he was as a rookie last year as Anthony racked up a .376 wOBA and 43.7% hard-hit rate.

Anthony nuked minor-league pitching during his rehab assignment, recording a .406 wOBA over 30 plate appearances across Double-A and Triple-A, and he’s hit the ground running since being activated, notching two hits in all three games while scoring three total runs.

RHP Bryce Miller is starting for the Seattle Mariners. Not only does Anthony have a career .379 wOBA with the platoon advantage, but Miller is lost right now, struggling to a 9.00 ERA (6.34 FIP) over his last four starts.

The Red Sox should have a good day at the plate, and I like their leadoff hitter to tally at least two hits/runs/RBI.

David Peterson Under 15.5 Outs Recorded (-142)

Brewers vs. Cubs, 7:41 p.m. ET

The wind has been working against pitchers at Wrigley so far this week, and that should continue today as we’ve got 10-MPH winds blowing out to center.

That’s one negative for Chicago Cubs southpaw David Peterson. A second strike is the matchup as the Milwaukee Brewers are 10th in expected wOBA over the last 30 days (.318) as well as seventh in expected wOBA for the year (.321).

Lastly, Peterson just hasn’t been that great nor has he worked deep in many games recently. He’s gone over 15.5 outs in only one of his last four starts while registering a 4.38 SIERA since coming to the Cubs.

What does "total bases" mean as a prop bet?

Walks, hit-by-pitches, and stolen bases do not count. A typical total bases line is set at 1.5 or 2.5. Betting over 1.5 means you need at least a double, or two singles.
