ROUGH AND READY (6) finished second in his last two appearances at Hawera, the latest from this mark. Had won three of his previous four outings, two of them at this circuit. Can continue the strong form. VILLAGE REBEL (5) hasn't placed since a second at Alexandra Park in December but he owns a decent record at this circuit and distance so has to be respected. SHAKE A LEG (4) was a winner at this venue and distance three back. Hasn't raced for close to four weeks but was kept up to the mark with a trial win. Contender. HEAVEN HIGH (2) got it all wrong first up but the form last time in was good so could be worth another chance.
