LINCOLN WAVE (4) drew a wide gate last start and was easily accounted for, beaten 40 metres into eighth at this track over 1 ¹¹/16m. This should be an easier assignment so he is a major player. SOCIAL DISTANCING (5) made it two in succession last start when he got the cash by 2.75 metres over 1 ¹/16m at this track. This doesn't look as hard so he is sure to prove tough to beat. MICK KONSTANTIN (1) has been thereabouts of late and is a great chance to break through. Good effort last time out when he finished fifth at this track over 1 ?m. MELTON MOGUL (8) cannot be left out after recording a sequence of three top-three finishes, the latest at Manawatu three weeks ago.
