SAMMY LINCOLN (9) was a beaten favourite last start but there was still merit in his effort for third. That was his second placing from just three starts so far, all of them coming at this circuit and distance. With even luck from the back row he could break through. There was plenty to like about the debut performance of MR PUTT (10) when runner-up at this circuit and distance. Draws on the second line this time but is open to natural improvement. MISS CHEROKEE (1) was outclassed last time but this is much more suitable and she had kicked off her campaign with a second from a much wider barrier at this venue prior. Steve and Amanda Telfer's Downbytheseaside colt SECRET BEACH (8) draws wide but has been trialling well so is worth keeping safe on debut.
