THIRD PARTY (7) has not raced for eight months. Looks forward enough for this return after a minor placing in a recent trial. Tactics will be crucial from this wide draw. Will have plenty of admirers. MOUTON CADET (2) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 6 metres from the winner in fourth over 1 ¹/16m at Ashburton Raceway. Will enjoy a nice run from this favourable starting position. This is a nice drop in grade so he is a major player. BROOKIES PLAYER (14) has been thereabouts of late and is a great chance to break through. Good effort last time out when he finished second at Manawatu over 1 ¼m. JACK'S EYRE (12) could only finish ninth over 1 ¹/16m at Ashburton Raceway most recently. Open to improvement and is in the mix.
