UKRAINE (12) is in good form having put together a string of wins and placings. Has been freshened since he finished second at his latest appearance but was kept up to the mark with a trial. No favours expected from this draw but he is yet to miss the top-three at this distance. UNICO REALTA (4) has been a model of consistency of late and came from wider when scoring here last time. That gave him two wins and two placings from the last four outings. Could strike again. CLONAKILTY (6) didn't do a bad job when fifth in a stronger race here last time out and was a winner at Oamaru prior. JACK'S EYRE (5) won the only time he attempted this distance and is the next elect off a last-start win at Ashburton.
