Brilliant Australian filly TRACY THE JET (3) made it six wins on the bounce last start when too good for race rival Gatesys Gem in the Victoria Oaks at Melton. Has beaten the boys before and the good draw gives her every chance to continue the winning form on the other side of the Tasman. MEANT TO BE (11) starts from the unruly but is building nicely, finishing runner-up in both starts this time in. Has strong records both at the circuit and the distance and when third up so can peak. Manners let HABIBTI PAT (2) down last start but she won two in a row prior. Has an impressive strike rate at this circuit ad distance, winning six off eight. Danger from the good draw. GATESYS GEM (1) has been very consistent in Victoria with a string of top-two finishes in strong company, last time finishing runner-up in the Victoria Derby. Likes to race forward so the inside draw suits.
