ZOOM X (5) produced another strong performance last time when he drew wider and battled on for third at Mt Harding. That made it back-to-back placings so his hoof is on the till and he jumps up to a distance where he is proven so could break through. OKIWI BAY (1) has been coming from wider or second line barriers but has produced some decent efforts including a third at Ashburton two back. Should have no excuses from the inside draw. LONGVIEW TUI (8) has had little luck in recent attempts. Draws wide but has placed in both attempts at this circuit and distance. DON JUAN (3) draws well and came from wider to place the last time he raced here so deserves respect.
