SEMBA (11) races at this circuit for the first time but has been going well of late. Placed two back then came from this row and finished fourth at his latest appearance at Kaikoura. He is up to winning this with even luck. MIKI'S COURAGE (7) produced yet another strong performance last time when he came from a similar draw and battled on bravely for third at this circuit and distance, adding to a string of recent minor placings. Could break through. ZARLINI (8) was quite consistent before the spell and while she draws wide for her return he has been trialling well. KOTARE KELSO (3) was solid last time and recorded three successive placings prior. Draws to be competitive.
