SECRET WISH (9) scored an authoritative win when resuming last time out at Oamaru. Kept fresh since but was kept ticking over with a trial and has won two of three second-up attempts. May need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position but she owns a strong record at this circuit and distance and is good enough to take out a race like this. CHERISH ME (13) looks close to a win after seconds in both starts this time in. Registered a strong performance last start when she drew wide and battled on bravely to just miss out at this circuit and distance. Draws out a little on the second line so may need luck at some point but she is a filly on the up. RIDE THE WAVES (7) must be respected off a string of top-two results at Alexandra Park including back-to-back wins from this barrier. CATH (8) is unbeaten when third-up so should be ready to peak.
