CHILL FACTOR (1) failed to run on and looked to need the outing when resuming at New Plymouth just over 2 weeks ago. He had won a Foxton trial easily before that, and he should strip a lot fitter for this. The step up to 6f will suit him, and he can make amends. CARLOW (2) ran out of puff fresh up at Hawera just over 3 weeks ago, and he will improve quickly in condition with that hit-out under his belt. He has the pole position, and in a small field, he can figure in the top 3. CRIXUS (3) did not race up to his good trial form on debut at Trentham, and was put aside to mature. He has won the latest of his 2 tune-up trials, and will be ready to rumble fresh in this modest field. BLONDMOON (5) has the best exposed form in this field, and she does not have to improve by much off her last start third at New Plymouth to win this. ELEGANT ELLE (4) fought on gamely for third, and a similar effort would take her close to an overdue win in this. COCO ROYALE (6) is not out of this.
