SUBSONIC (4) showed potential during his initial prep and will be suited to resuming over a mile. He has had a couple of searching trials and will be ready to rumble fresh up. LA PRIMA DAMA (11) was not far away when resuming at Ellerslie in a stronger field than this, and though she will want more ground than a mile, she can run on into the top 3 here. WEOWNARANAWAY (7) was fifth in the same race as the second pick, and was steaming home late that day. She will pick up her first win at short notice, but might want a middle distance to do so. Each way claims again. BLUERIDGE (5) has had a trial since his last run just over 7 weeks ago. He drops back to a mile and only needs some luck from a tricky gate to be in the finish here. Include in all combinations. MALLEABLE (2) was a fast finishing third fresh up for his new trainer at New Plymouth over 6f, and he will relish getting straight out to a mile. Stick with him.
