MONAGHAN BOY (1) has been racing well, and he is knocking on the door for his next win after finishing runner-up by a short-head as the favourite at Ascot Park 16 days ago. He has a good gate here and can go one better. RED LABEL (13) led all the way when bolting in by 5 lengths to win her maiden at Ashburton 3 starts back. She has been unable to find the front in a couple of starts since then, but she may take it up this time. Stick with her on an each-way basis. PULL THE PIN (6) has turned the corner in her last couple of starts, including a win at Gore nearly 7 weeks ago. She cops a tough gate here, but can still figure in the top 4 again. MAWKEB (5) had her first start in NZ fresh up on this track and finished third, less than a length from the winner. She improves quickly with racing and is good enough to take this out. DAPHNE DIOR (16) can mix her form, but her best effort would have her in the finish here. Stick with her. BONSAI BOB (2)
