MAGICE (7) is a very progressive 4YO gelding who has been very patiently handled by his connections, winning at his only start, for his new trainer, Kris Shailer, in the spring before being put aside to further mature. He resumes at a higher level, but will drop in weight, and despite the wide draw, he still goes on top for us. SENSE OF TIMING (2) is resuming from a long spell and will have had the benefit of a couple of trials to get ready for this assignment. If he doesn't need the run, then he is capable of a top 4 finish. MISS BO PEEP (4) is also resuming from a long spell of over a year. She won 3 of her first 7 starts, and she looked in good nick when winning a recent Taupo trial last month. Follow the market moves. EGYPTIAN QUEEN (1) did not cope with the heavy track at Tauranga just over 4 weeks ago after some good form prior. She slides down in class and can make amends.
