Verdict

CHATTAHOOCHEE (3) did not get into the race on a heavy track at Te Aroha last start, after his 2 previous runs had him heading in the right direction. There will be no fitness concerns fourth up, and the key this time will be having Opie Bosson in the saddle. They go on top for us at some value here. LEROY BROWN (1) was unsuited at Tauranga last start over 1m, where he did not seem to be his usual bright self, running off the fence as they went for home, also did him no favours. He has a superior gate this time, and he should get an uncontested lead this time. Stick with him. EL VIENTO (7) has been patiently handled, and he won his last 2 starts near the end of the year when finishing his last prep. He may need the run, but he has had a couple of trials, and he should be ready to rumble. Check the market. DREAM OF THE MOON (9) finished fourth as the favourite at Pukekohe 4 weeks ago. She returns to an anti-clockwise track, and she has each-way claims. YALDI (10) can also win this.
