NZ - Te Rapa - Race 5

RIBKRAKA (1) was back in form when finishing third here 2 weeks ago when making up some late ground from just off the pace. He is ready now for another attempt at 1m, and he is well placed to go one better. MINESHAFT (9) caught the eye with a solid late finish for fourth fresh up at Ruakaka 3 weeks ago, and he won't have to improve by much to figure in the top 3 this time. ZENITH (2) continued to improve with racing this prep, and got the job done fourth up here 4 weeks ago, scoring as the favourite by over 7 lengths. He revels in heavy ground, and with conditions to suit, he can repeat the dose. AMAZONIA (5) fought on gamely for second here a fortnight ago over 7f, and she tries 1m for the first time. If she can see out the extra 1f, then she can figure in the top 3 again. TRANSACTION (3) has been very honest through the winter, and she deserves a winning turn. She meets an even field, and should be kept safe again.
